just out of curiosity, where is the heater control valve located on the 2006 e90 bmw 325i? i took off the cabin filter and frame but I could not find it. if this vehicle has a heater control valve, they do a good job of hiding it.
Join Date: Sep 2013. Location: Vail, CO. iTrader: ( 0) PCV Valve Heater Recall: "remedy available". Today I got a "remedy available" letter for the PCV valve heater recall announced this spring but had no solution at that time. The fix is to install a wiring harness with an inline fuse, which will presumably blow instead of catch on fire when
Thank you for the previous links for the FSU and auxiliary fan troubleshoot. I do not think it is the auxiliary fan because it shuts off when I take out the heater blower. The auxiliary fan (fan at the very front of the car by the grill) is turning on and off normally. The air that continues to blow is by the fan filters near the relay box.
1) Fan goes nuts. Fan runs too fast, he can even hear it with music on. Fan going-nuts does sound like airplane's flying by. 2) Engine overheats. Temperature gauge stays at 6(middle), and slowly goes down toward 7(red zone) as fan goes nuts. Stays near red zone(2-3bars), then gauge drops to red zone and iDrive displays overheating warning message.
BMW E90, E92 Blowing Little Or No Heat From One Side Or All Vents. First off, DO NOT replace the heater core due to low or no heat unless you are sure itās leaking. Itās a huge waist of money and only do so if flushing fails to remove the blockage which is unlikely. My 2009 328i sedan with just under 65,000 miles experienced this issue and
Radiator outlet temperature. Catalyst temperature (calculated. temperature) Vehicle speed. Battery voltage. A/C pressure (calculated pressure) To troubleshoot: check computer for any set codes. unplug the fan connector and test for voltage on the two large wires.
You may need a torch. With a long flat object (like a screwdriver) try to rotate the fan (another reason why the ignition need to be switched off. If it wont move then try something larger like a file. This will give you a larger surface area to apply pressure to the vanes of the fan without risking damage to the fan.
I bought a 2011 F25 x20d on the 27/12/20. I knew it had some issues but it was cheap and I like a project. One of the main things was that the heated seats didnāt work - the three stage switches for the front seats lit up as usual but there was no heat and the rear heated seat switches didnāt light up when pressed and had no illumination to

If the belt/viscous clutch fan is moving enough air (assuming your car has auto transmission), electric fan won't run. See your "what's this wire for" thread for an explanation of the coolant temp sensor found in the radiator. 2006 325Ci.
